After the interview

  • Mentally debrief yourself about how you presented yourself, what questions you asked and answered, whether you felt you left anything out. This is so you can be better prepared for any future interviews, either related to this position or any other.
  • If you know there will be a delay in the employer making a decision about this position, a follow-up phone call, email or letter from you to them is a good idea. Use this opportunity to reiterate that you appreciate their time in meeting you, that you enjoyed learning more about the position, and that you are very keen to be considered for the position.
