Two way interview

  • While it is important to make the right impressions, it is equally important to find out if you want to work for them. Prepare yourself with some questions you want answered For example:
  • How soon do they want to fill this position?
  • Are they planning to re-interview any short-listed candidates?
  • Why is this position available (has someone resigned, been promoted etc)?
  • What would a "typical" day involve?
  • What are the chances for promotion with the company? (be careful with this one as you need to be prepared to stay in this position for a while)
  • If they have already addressed any specific issues you had prepared questions for, and then they ask if you have any questions, say "Yes I did have but you have already answered them. Thank you."
